Cali, the one-named drummer, began playing drums at the ripe old age of 12, thanks to much encouragement, patience, and a large supply of ear plugs by his parents (also musicians). By his thirteenth birthday, he was already playing the club scene professionally in the area. Before being a founding member of AIRLINE BLONDE, Cali spent his time laying down the groove for other local bands.

Cali's playing credits in his sixteen-plus year career include: touring Southeast U.S. casinos with Nashville-based blues band, The Bumpercables; playing in several house jobs, including a four year run with NiteLife; playing drums on several released singles; touring for three years with Bad Kitty and also Tuzday's Child; teaching percussion, both in music stores and private lessons; laying tracks for many recording projects; and working as an independently registered songwriter.

In addition, Cali has been involved over the years with country, fusion, jazz, rock, and also has formal training in symphonic percussion and timpani and theory. Besides providing percussion for AIRLINE BLONDE, he is currently drumming for The Velvet Bombers.

Cali can also be found at Pro-Mark Drumsticks' website.  Click here to see more.

While not on the gig with AB, Cali spends his days working for a non-profit organization. The rest of his time is spent hanging out with his lovely wife, Lauren, and their two sons, and building models (Cali's model website).

Cali, can currently be found behind his drum kit keeping the groove for the AB. Word of warning... Watch out for those famous flying Cali drumsticks into the crowd!
