John Atkinson grew up under the influence of Woodstock-era music
and has been playing in bands since the mid-eighties.
Originally a guitar player, he switched to keyboards with his
first band Rhythm Method. |

Other band credits include the Straphangers, the Stiffs, the Rehabs,
Barefoot Sally and the Hand-Me-Down Shoes, Blues Hawg and Soul
Position. In 1995 he made three appearances as a stand-in keyboardist
for the Bobby Clark Band on TNN’s “Charlie Daniels’
Talent Round-up”. |

He has a studio in his home where he and numerous friends and
acquaintances commit frequent acts of acoustic chaos. His other
interests include photography, painting and graphic design. He and his
wife Terri Lynn live with their pets in rural southern Indiana. |
